Requirements for dogs
Vaccinations
Booster vaccinations: All dogs are required to have up-to-date booster vaccinations, proof of which must be provided on arrival, and cover the duration of their stay. If annual vaccinations have lapsed they must be restarted, and we cannot accept your pets for boarding until 2 weeks after the second vaccinations have been administered. This is a legal requirement for any licenced boarding establishment.
Kennel Cough: We require owners to have their dogs vaccinated against Kennel Cough. Documentation of this vaccination will also need to be provided, which must be in date for the duration of their pet’s stay. If it is a first time vaccination it must be administered at least 4 weeks prior to boarding, if possible but a minimum of 2 weeks in any case.
Medication
King Kennels Ltd is happy to administer, to your dog, any prescribed and non-prescribed medication brought in for them by you including supplements, wormers and flea treatment.
Neutering
We do not accept unneutered male dogs over 1 year of age for boarding.
Microchipping
As of 6 April 2016 it is compulsory for dog owners to ensure that their dog has been microchipped. Owners will be requested to provide documentation of microchipping.
Puppies
King Kennels accepts puppies for boarding from 6 months old. Annual vaccinations and Kennel Cough are both required.
First stay
To ensure that your dog’s first stay is as comfortable as possible please bring them along when viewing the Kennels, or call us to make a separate appointment.
